Experience

Senior Game Designer                                          Snail Games USA                                               April 2021-Current

  • Led and managed a team of five Designers and three Artists on a Live-Ops title for PC/Xbox. Directly responsible for all onboarding processes from interviewing to successful training. Mentored several interns.

  • Designed and implemented all key features from conception to release, ensuring stakeholders requirements are met while guaranteeing the preservation of the title's creative vision without compromise. 

  • Managed the outsourcing of all engineering and art for the title. Renegotiated contract price points to reduce expenditures. 

  • Led the combat design for a new IP that is in early stages of production. 

  • Facilitated automation and optimization of several build deployment processes. Deployed builds to Steam and Xbox. Monitored network and server stability. 

  • Created marketing, community posts, dev logs, screenshots and videos for the title. Authored Xbox wire articles.

  • Created and managed all Jira tasks for the Design, Engineering, and Art Teams. Ran all sprint standups, reviews, and retros. Facilitated the creation of the Jira and Confluence pages project wide.

  • Conducted an in-depth analysis to identify design bottlenecks. Successfully implemented new level design styles that were subsequently adopted by the other members of the Level Design team. 

  • Designed distinctive and challenging boss encounters that spanned expansive levels. 

  • Created comprehensive level design documents that served as a reference guide to direct the design style for the entire team.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Level Design by recreating multiple levels across various Massive Multiplayer Online games. Created new levels to interconnect each recreated level in a small-scale independent MMORPG developed in Unity.
